There are a variety of roles needed to serve in our Next Generation Ministries – being with the kids of different ages in their activities.

Opportunities to Serve
Journey Kids Children’s Ministry Volunteer
Every other Sunday, early or late service
Nursery: Assist nannies in loving on infants and toddlers.
Pre-School: Work in a team to teach children ages (3-5) through video skits, songs, games, crafts and activities.
Elementary: Work in a team to teach children (grades Kinder-5) through video skits, songs, games, crafts and activities.
The Deep End Volunteer (6th-8th graders)
Every other Sunday Morning @ The Journey
Teacher: Every other week, teach a lesson from our LIVE Curriculum to our Middle Schoolers during the 9:30am service. Help with room set up and tear down.
Helper: Every other week, assist the lead teacher. Help keep the students engaged. Help with room set up and tear down.
The Well Volunteer (9th-12th graders)
Every Other Sunday Night @ Host Homes
Volunteer: Engage with High School students in conversations that cover topics they face on a daily basis. If you enjoy interacting and having fun with older teens, this is the job for you! We meet in host homes on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30pm. Snacks provided.
Wednesday Student Volunteer (6th-12th graders)
Every other Wednesday Night @ The Journey
Volunteer: Assist the Student Pastor in programming, serving meals, playing games with teens and general adult presence. If you enjoy interacting and having fun with teens, this is the job for you!
We meet on Wed Nights from 6:00-8:15pm.
Kitchen Team: Love to cook?! Our Kitchen team prepares meals every Wed Night for our students during the school year.
Band / Tech: Are you a JBF musician or tech volunteer already? We could use your help on Wednesday Nights!
Special Events Volunteer
Can’t commit to a weekly role but still want to help with Students periodically? We have annual and one-off events that we need extra help for! This could include church camp, mission trips, fun outings, game nights, community service projects, and the list goes on!
